Pilgrim on way to temple, falls into river, remains trapped unless locals step in to rescue

A Gujarat resident fell into Mandakini river while he was on his way to pay obeisance to revered Kedarnath temple. The incident happened in Rudraprayag district whereafter the state disaster response force as well as locals stepped in to rescue the man.

Police sources informed that the man was taking selfies when he slipped and fell into the river on Monday afternoon. The local police said that the SDRF then deployed means to rescue the individual and he followed the instructions as was told.
