A woman administrative officer got showered with flower petals after her transfer to a different district of Uttar Pradesh. IAS Divya Mittal, posted as Collector of Mirzapur, has been shifted as District Magistrate of Basti. As the news of her transfer order got issued, people gathered to shower flower petals at an officer who they found to be sympathetic to their woes and sincerely attempting to redress.
The woman IAS officer was recently spotted in a viral video quite enthusiastically lauding among youngsters as India’s moon mission successfully soft landed on lunar south. She raised ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ slogans to show her emotions on the occasion.
The woman officer was invited to Pakka Ghaat for welfare function and it is here that tons of flower petals were showered on her as show of affection from the people of Mirzapur. A 2013 batch IAS officer, she has earlier served as Kabir Nagar DM.
