In poll bound Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel reacted sharply to the continuing crackdown of central agencies in the garb of unravelling corruption of the state government. He reiterated his earlier allegation that the central agency like ED have been trying all kinds of tactics to scare and intimidate people into breaking down.
What more can they do except send in jail??, CM asked in outburst. It need be mentioned that Chhattisgarh Congress has for quite some time been alleging that central agencies are working to defame the incumbent government to benefit the opposition BJP in the state election.
In his recent visit to Chhattisgarh, Union Home Minister Amit Shah too has warned that once BJP forms government here in the state, the corrupt would be hung upside down and made to spill out the truth.
It is this assertion that the Chief Minister was reacting to. Meanwhile, the war of words between the two parties has intensified and gotten ugly as well. While former CM Dr Raman Singh posted on X that under the current ruling party, there is no stopping the loot of Chhattisgarh.
