The Prime Minister’s Office has revealed that PM Modi has been on duty all the time and that no leave has been availed since taking over the office in year 2014.
The RTI application was filed by Pune based activist Prafull Sarda. The activist also demanded to know about the various events and functions attended by the Prime Minister to which the PMO referred the applicant to PMO website www.pmindia.gov.in.
The RTI response is in accordance with the public perception about the Prime Minister Modi that he is all the time on duty and does not avail leave as do many other heads of states.
Even the opposition parties have alleged that PM Modi remains always in the election mode and keeps preparing for the next one which is unique in so far as the political tradition of independent India is concerned.
