As the world awaits more findings of Pragyan Rover from lunar south, the ISRO shared a video confirming that the Vikram lander made a successful soft landing once again.
ISRO explained that given the command, Vikram lander fired its engines, elevated itself by about 40 cm as expected and landed safely at a distance of 30 – 40 cm away.
Explaining the significance of the hop experiment, ISRO said that the ‘kick-start’ enthuses future sample return and human missions! It also confirmed that all systems performed nominally and are healthy. It was said that lander equipments Ramp, ChaSTE and ILSA which had been folded back were redeployed successfully after the experiment.
