Former Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh, who is known for speaking his mind even if sometimes puts his own party in difficult position, has asserted that one nation one poll is not possible in current structure of Constitution.

While in Hyderabad, Singh was reacting to the panel setup by the central government to examine the One Nation, One Election.

The Congress Rajya Sabha MP explained that this is not possible in the current structure of the Constitution and went on to allege that may be this is the reason why the saffron party may be looking to change the Indian Constitution because from the beginning they have been against the Indian Constitution.

This reaction comes as central government constituted a panel headed by former President Ram Nath Kovind but also includes Union Home Minister Amit Shah, former Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha, Ghulam Nabi Azad, former Finance Commission chairman NK Singh, senior advocate Harish Salve, former Lok Sabha Secretary General Subhash Kashyap, former Chief Vigilance Commissioner Sanjay Kothari besides Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury.
