As Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal visited Mumbai to take part in the I.N.D.I.A bloc meeting, media asked if he mentioned about seat sharing in Delhi and Punjab, two states where AAP is strong and might cause difficulty for the Congress.

But Kejriwal responded by saying that the seat sharing is now to happen across the country. He spoke of having suggested that seat sharing should be carried out across the nation.

It is not clear if he meant that Congress would have to accommodate AAP in multiple states as part of I.N.D.I.A bloc for the alliance to survive. It need be mentioned that Congress party’s Delhi and Punjab units have been against any sort of an alliance with the AAP.

But the AAP, which is led by ambitious Arvind Kejriwal, is looking to expand its base and is not shying away from projecting itself as a serious player even in states where usually it has been a direct contest between Congress and BJP.
