Allegations of gang rape of a woman security guard have surfaced in Ghaziabad. It is alleged that the woman was raped in the basement of the residential society she was guarding.
It is now being said that the victim subsequently consumed poisonous substance and had to be rushed to the hospital.
“From CCTV footage, audio and video recordings done by people, we’ve found that the woman was called by his maintenance manager to his office. As per the allegations, she was sexually assaulted by the accused Ajay… She went to the main gate for duty and after some time informed her co-workers about the incident. She started feeling unwell in some time and was taken to hospital…We had arrested the accused based on the woman’s written statement and his cousin’s complaint. The woman’s situation was serious and was referred to Safdarjung Hospital. Unfortunately, she died at the hospital yesterday (August 28). Postmortem report is awaited…” says Ghaziabad DCP (Rural) Vivek Kumar on Shrishti Apartment’s 19-year-old woman security guard alleged rape case.
Police have said that the victim hails from Jharkhand and used to stay with her relative in Ghaziabad. Police have arrested security supervisor Ajay in the case.
