‘What was the need…..?’, Chief Minister questions new Parliament building

A day ahead of inauguration of new Parliament building, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar questioned the need for new Parliament building.

Talking to media persons, he spoke of not being comfortable with the idea of new building to house Parliament since the start.

He said that history is being changed right before our eyes and all stakeholders need to realize it now.

This statement comes at a time when many other opposition parties are boycotting the inauguration of new Parliament building citing that President of India, as head of Indian State, has not been given this opportunity.

Nitish Kumar, a former ally of BJP, and now parted ways, is also working to forge a grand alliance against the BJP for 2024 national election.
