India’s top court has declined the PIL seeking a direction that the new Parliament building should be inaugurated by President Droupadi Murmu on 28th May.
Supreme Court of India refused to entertain PIL seeking direction that new Parliament building be inaugurated by President.
Not convinced by the petitioner’s arguments, the bench proceeded to dismiss the petition. The petitioner then sought permission to withdraw his petition.
The PIL was filed after it became clear that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would inaugurate the new Parliament building on May 28.
