With news reports coming in that villagers are refusing to pay electricity bills and want recently installed Congress government in Karnataka to take care of their bills, Pratap Simha, who is a BJP MP, has now warned the state government of statewide protest if the promises made in the Congress manifesto are not implemented by June of this year.

Among the promises made are included free electricity till 200 units and women not having to pay to ride on government buses.
Mysore-Kodagu MP has called for a statewide protest from June if the Congress does not fulfill its poll guarantee of providing 200 units of free electricity to the people of Karnataka.
He also clarified that if 200 units of electricity is free and the consumption exceeds by 10 units, the government should charge only for the extra 10 units. he will call for a statewide protest if at all the government does not give free electricity from June.
