Amid opposition’s boycott of new Parliament building inauguration, BSP reacts

Amid many political parties boycotting the inauguration of new Parliament building on May 28, Bahujan Samaj Party Chief Mayawati has termed it inappropriate.

She opined that the government has enabled the building of this massive new structure and thus has the right to inaugurate it and it is highly inappropriate that opposition should boycott the main event because President Murmu has not been invited for the inaugural function.

She thanked the government for invite to her for the inauguration of new Parliament building but expressed her inability at attending the event on account of being busy with the party performance review meetings.

She also noted that be it Congress or BJP, the BSP has risen above the party politics when it comes to national or public interest issues.
