Police in Kolkata is awaiting post mortem report of a seven year old girl who went missing and later her body was found stuffed in a suitcase in another apartment.
Police have arrested a 32-year old neighbour in the case and is questioning him.
The minor girl, a resident of Sridhar Roy Road in Kolkata, was reported missing since early morning Sunday.
Police located her entering the building in CCTV footage but then could not figure out where she went.
After joint efforts of local residents and police, they zeroed in on a locked apartment.
The personnel of the Tiljala police station went inside the locked apartment and found the body of the missing girl stuffed inside a suitcase.
The Kolkata Police have confirmed that the body was found on the second floor of Alok Kumar’s flat.
Alok Kumar, originally from Samastipur in Bihar, has been arrested by the police and confessed to the murder.
The arrested accused is currently being questioned even as the police have found injuries on the girl’s head and ear.
